The
Romeos started recording the album in March 2000. Basic tracks -drums,
bass and guitars- were taped at the Daltoon Studio by Eric Vanderlest,
which took two and-a-half days. They recorded the vocals and most overdubs
(organ, percussion, 12-string guitars, some acoustic and electric guitars)
at Club Romeo. For mixing, mastering and some overdubs (piano, guitar)
they returned to Daltoon.
Most songs on the album are about love, from the beginning (We fell,
Can't get enough) to the bitter end (I don't need you, Housefull of
memories) and everything in between. But in the end the message is positive
(Don't let them bring you down, Who told you). Also there's room on
the album for phenomenons such as crop circles (Doug & Dave), travelling
(Sitting in Ego's) and supermarketcheckoutgirls (She looks like Jodie
Foster).
