Paradiso
Amsterdam
March 14 2001 (week of Dutch popmusic Radio 3FM)
Our national poptemple
was planned for the middle of the week. In a sold out Paradiso the Smalltown
Romeos were given the opportunity to present themselves to the audience.
The Romeos play a powerful type of rockmusic witch is cheerful and a bit
grave at the same time. The Romeos play it safe tonight, probably a bit
nervous, because every now and again I get the feeling they're slightly
holding themselves back. Nevertheless a very pleasant gig. The Romeos love
a bit of 'tongue in cheek' as you can hear in their lyrics and the rather
weird interview they have with Wim Rigter after the show. Being told by
Wim Rigter that he is a look-alike for the singer of the band Abel, Romeo
Eric is not happy.
